I really like this fence. It was very easy to install, and the design fits perfectly in my garden. It keeps my pets from running around, solving a big problem!

I didn’t like the metal barbs that they used to fasten the fence to the ground, but the seller right away took care of me.. and said they just upgraded them and sent me for free new fencing with new barbs.. that you put into the ground. The fencing is really nice now. Very recommended.!then I got a new gate !! Awesome ! Highly recommended

This is a substantial piece of gear, and I mean that as both a compliment and a warning. The playpen itself is solid, well-built, and feels like it is going to last. It is also not something you want to be lugging back and forth between locations on a regular basis. I have only been using it indoors so far, though I have plans to bring it over to a family member's house and set it up outdoors when our dog is visiting. That said, once you feel the weight of the thing, you understand this is meant to be set up and left in place. Not a grab-and-go solution. I cannot speak yet to how the finish holds up against actual weather over time, but that test is coming.

Assembly is quick and the panel system is genuinely flexible. You can configure it into different shapes easily, which is one of the features that sells this over a traditional setup. I am actually considering using this as a puppy playpen instead of the usual wire crate-style pens, which tend to be loud, clunky, and not exactly a design win in a living room. This one is pretty enough and easy enough to modify that it makes a much better candidate for indoor use with a puppy than most options out there.

On the safety versus standard x-pen debate, the marketing pushes the full mesh as being meaningfully safer than traditional bar-style pens. In my honest opinion, I have never had a dog get hurt on a standard bar pen, and I think the real distinction here is not safety so much as aesthetics and flexibility. The mesh looks cleaner, the configurations are easier to reshape, and it does not have that industrial kennel look. That is a legit upgrade, just not for the reasons the listing pushes hardest.

That said, there is one trade-off worth knowing. The mesh panels flex when you push on them. It is not flimsy, and I am not predicting a failure, but it is a softer structure than the rigid metal bars of a traditional x-pen. For a calm dog who respects the boundary, that is a non-issue. For an anxious dog repeatedly launching themselves at the panels, I would be curious to see how this holds up over time. It is the one area where a classic x-pen has a clear advantage.

The stakes work well in soft ground and go in and come out without a fight. Thirty-two inches of height feels about right for most situations, though of course the right height depends entirely on what you are trying to contain or prevent. No universal answer there.

A couple of design choices gave me pause. The first are the little pins that stick up at each panel junction. Those are the rods that hold the panels together, and they double as a kind of grip helper when you are assembling or moving the pen. Functionally they make sense, but aesthetically and practically they stick up in a way that seems like it could catch a child or a dog. We have another pen where those connection points are round loops that do the same job without the protrusion, and I find myself wishing this one had gone that route.

The second is the door threshold. Any dog steps over this without a moment's thought. Humans, on the other hand, trip on it consistently. I cannot tell you how many times I have stubbed a toe or caught a foot on that lip just walking in and out. It is a small thing, but it is a small thing you encounter every single day.

On the whole, this is a well-made, good-looking pen that fills a niche a traditional x-pen does not quite cover. Just go in knowing it is meant to stay put, the panels have a little give, and the door will absolutely have a go at your shins.
